J, a folk striptease in 4'

Sunday 21 of August

« I know, with the natural understanding that God has given me, that all that is beautiful is worthy of love; but I do not think that, because it is loved, that which is loved for being beautiful should love its lover. » (Translation of Marcela’s speech in D. Quijote de la Mancha, Miguel de Cervantes)

« Representing bodies are those that perform themselves, while represented bodies are separate or independent images that represent bodies. Bodies perform images (of themselves or even against themselves) as much as they perceive outside images. In this double sense, they are living media that transcend the capacities or their prosthetic media. » (Hans Belting, Image, medium, body : a new approach to iconology).
